Casita Accommodations

Located in the friendly Mexican neighborhood of Colonia Allende, the Casita is an easy 15-20 minute flat walk to the Centro. Our neighborhood boasts both fine organic grocery stores and traditional Mexican eats, the best of both worlds all just around the corner. The two rooms share a communal kitchen & lush garden space. Enjoy fine European linens, ceiling fans & heaters (no AC), morning coffee & pastries and free wifi. We hope to be your home away from home in San Miguel.

Thinking of all my loves far and wide tonight. How much you mean to me. How much freedom means, what our connection and creative community means and what we are facing. I’m here but my heart is everywhere.

Casita Policies:

  • 2 night minimum.

  • Check-in after 2pm & Checkout is 12pm, we'll arrange check-in time within the week prior to your arrival.

  • Non-smoking property.

  • While we would love to host your entire family, no pets or children under 12 are allowed at this time.

  • Respect shared kitchen & garden spaces.

  • No parties unless Luis is hosting ;)

  • Understand that we are located in a Mexican neighborhood with neighborhood noises, barking dogs, festivities and the occasional fireworks.

  • Cancellations welcome at least two weeks prior to your stay.

  • 50% deposit at booking, refundable up to two weeks prior to your stay.

What to bring:

  • Sun hat & sun block...it's sunny here!

  • That said....when it rains it pours, the rainier season is mid June-August, so pack an umbrella just in case.

  • Good walking shoes for cobblestones.

  • Mosquito repellant, deet free.

  • Swim suit & flip flops, there are pools in the area.

  • House shoes to enjoy our courtyard & patio.

What to expect:

  • Easy bus service on our street to the centro or taxis are 55-75 pesos, or 15-20 minutes by foot.

  • Weekends are more lively in the Centro & San Miguel in general. There are many festivals & holidays celebrated, you can find a monthly festival calendar here and events of the current week here.

  • Making reservations on the weekends is suggested at many of the restaurants.
